Jonathan Wilson answers the Question

Take flight

Bayern wing dam on the right track and set a bad Ronaldo defensive line are not used to defend

There may be some tactical mistakes and miscalculations, of course, but things rarely black and white as that. Most often, there are options, care options and, sometimes, what is often a strength can become a weakness. Even the best players can sometimes become a liability.

Cristiano Ronaldo does not defend. It does not keep track of your defender. In most games, Real Madrid has in its possession sufficient that he did not need. Although probably not: better to stay fresh and alert for generating bursts of explosives that have caused so many goals. But the reluctance or inability of coaches is a dilemma.

When the width or the end of the front is attacking full back, no right or wrong way to cope. When England beat Croatia 4-1 in World Cup qualifying in Zagreb in 2008, for example, the solution of Fabio Capello to the threat of an attack to the left of Croatia went to the station Theo Walcott in the upper part of the field. Danijel Pranjic, the left side, Croatia, fortunately went with him again and again and again broke out in England and plays the ball into space behind the defender. Walcott ended with a hat-trick and by the end Pranjic was the picture of confusion, caught between the two waters overlap Ivan Rakitic and sit back to defend.

But that does not mean that the best way to counter attack the defender is still playing the opposite end over the court. Manchester United David Beckham, immediately deployed in the high to Real Madrid in the Champions League in 2003 and barely touched the ball, Roberto Carlos zoom before him again and again, what real help to a 3-1 victory. It can, of course, that Walcott is much faster than that Beckham was Roberto Carlos had the opportunity to return, but in reality it is the possession. In Zagreb, England had the ball enough to exploit the space behind the defender, in Madrid, States did not. But then, one reason for Real Madrid dominated the possession of that night was exactly what Roberto Carlos gave them one more man in midfield.

Ronaldo this question a lot for coaches. In 2009, for example, had a bad game followed Aly Cissokho left side in the 2-2 draw against Porto at Old Trafford, Sir Alex Ferguson, which connects you to the center of the back, with Wayne Rooney as the human range. Ronaldo scored the only goal. In the final against Chelsea this year, was deployed once more to the left. He scored the first goal of the game, but around the half hour was dominated by Michael Essien, culminating trassez and taken equalizer just before half led to Frank Lampard.

However, in the first quarter of an hour or two, until the incident in which Franck Ribery is brushing his chest caused a temporary paralysis of his legs (one moment that put highlight what we already knew: Ribery is a series Felgner and Sergio Ramos is vulnerable when asked to actually defend), Real Madrid seemed not only comfortable, but in control.

The issue was possession. Leaving Thomas Müller for Toni Kroos, Bayern 4-2-3-1 was equipped with the operators of two midfielders also relatively mobile, Kroos, a center midfielder more than capable of leaving behind. However, Mesut Ozil, playing in the center of the trident for Real, tend to remain high, leaving Luiz Gustavo free - at least until Mourinho and Di Maria has changed midway through the first half I even changed in the half. This meant that Bayern could put pressure on Alonso, who seemed exhausted, and Sami Khedira, which explains both the number of long balls to arrive (not all measured diagonally behind the defender) and why over Real Madrid been so exceptionally careless. With Ozil, Ronaldo and Karim Benzema to remain high, Bayern managed to point to Real Madrid for long periods.

Bastian Schweinsteiger, just groping back from injury, did not have his best night, and he also lost a series of steps, but always had a positive impact to ensure Bayern did ever breaks as he did when he was not in the field, against Borussia Dortmund last week. He was also caught with the accumulation of a draw for Real Madrid. It was, probably, after a game of kick and open but still highlighted the danger that the Bayern midfield, pushing it up, leaving them without protection in the back four to one when we see the difficulty evaluate tactics "good" and "bad" Bayern won the match, but cost them a goal.

The Spanish stock market was severely affected today, there were also comments made by Mr. Weidmann is to come. This negative impact on capital markets in Europe is the engine of euro weakness.

The UK and Germany can be seen as a tale of two winters. The increase in the UK may be interpreted as a rebound from a bad winter profoundly from 2010. Germany, but he had the most snow and ice in recent months. But this description is too simplistic, especially in the case of Germany, where the fall is all year.

Since construction in February 2011 decreased by 21.4%. Economists blamed the spending freeze on government agencies for much of the fall in construction. Only Slovenia and Italy were worse with falls of 27.5% and 23% respectively.

German companies are more optimistic about the construction of the rest of this year, according to surveys of sentiment, even if it is clawing its way back from a weak base.

The most important factor is that Europe needs Ireland to succeed as much as Ireland needs Europe. Why? Just because it is a country that has blocked diligently to fiscal targets and also adopted a reform program of textbooks: if not, you run the risk that other vulnerable economies such as Portugal, Spain and the Italy have failed too many In other words, provided Ireland makes a serious effort, this symbiotic relationship that should serve well.

Back to the crisis in the euro area, and the head of the Bundesbank gave Spain a stern warning not to to trust the European Central Bank out of the impasse.

Jens Weidmann

fully justified its reputation as the cold hard cash, told Reuters that there is no reason to panic because bond yields between countries on a peak temporary. He also slapped Nicolas Sarkozy's suggestion that the European Central Bank should pay more attention to economic growth.

Here are some key quotes Weidmann borrowing costs rose:

There must always proclaim the end of the world if the interest rate of a country's long-term temporarily exceed 6% .... It is also a spur to the authorities of the countries concerned to do their homework and find (market) confidence through the search path of reform.

And Sarkozy:

me great concern that a softening of the mandate is being discussed ... A fundamental debate on the amendment of the mandate can certainly have an effect on inflation expectations.

Weidmann comments hit the son together with new data from the Bank of Spain, which showed that the amount of bad debts on the books of Spanish banks has come to a maximum of 18 years, property as assets turn sour. He is currently ? 143.8bn of non-performing loans of lurking in the Spanish banking sector.

full-time jobs remain retired. There is also the crucial question of compensation. The average wage in the economy increased by only 1.1% last year, while inflation continues to average 3.5%.

Recruitment

totaljobs.com firm is also impressed:

While on the surface are more optimistic than recent months, they hide a number of concerns - at least not surprisingly high levels of underemployment - they do not take account of new last two months. We have seen that the retail sector taking other mistreatment, with more closures announced, and concern for the euro area resurfaced.

Although the current figures, it is expected that unemployment will continue rising until 2012, although more slowly than before.

10:24:.
Labour Minister Chris Grayling welcomed today's unexpected drop in the unemployment rate to 8.3%
Grayling said the government's campaign to rebalance the UK economy is paying, with 35,000 fewer unemployed in the three months to February.

Labour, however, is not impressed that 2.63 million people are without work, noting the increase in the income of the applicant (1.613 million). Work and Pensions of the shadow, Liam Byrne said:

We had two years of excuses and we now have proof - that this government has totally failed to address emergency work in Britain, and we limped into crisis.

Forty years in solitary: two men mark sombre anniversary in Louisiana prison

was 23 hours per day during the last 40 years in a cell 9 feet by 6 feet. But as advocacy groups for human intensify calls for his release, a documentary gives an idea of ??an isolated life

"I can do about four steps forward before it touches the door," said Herman Wallace as he describes the cell in which he lived for the past 40 years. "If I become an about-face, I'll hit something. I'm used to it, and it is one of the bad things about him. "

Tuesday, Wallace and his friend Albert Woodfox is one of the most unusual birthday, and ashamed of American criminal history. Forty years ago the day they were put in solitary confinement in Angola prison in Louisiana famous. They have been there.

been 23 hours of each of 14.610 days locked in their profession than 9 feet by 6 feet cell. Each cell, Amnesty International, has a toilet, mattresses, sheets, blanket, pillow and a small bench against the wall. Their contact with the world outside the room without windows is limited to the occasional visit and phone call, "exercise" three times a week on a concrete patio cage, and the letters are opened and read by prison guards .

A new documentary takes us to that cell, providing a rare glimpse of the personal impact that prolonged psychological isolation. Herman House followed the experiences and thoughts of Wallace as evidenced by four decades, hit in a box.

The film is based on recorded telephone conversations between Wallace and Bhalla, director of the documentary Angad. Wallace, a native of New Orleans and 70 years, speaks with powerful understatement of his time alone.

"Being in a cage for a long period of time, has its downfalls. You do not feel, you do not know, you may think you're fine, and you are right on the surface ".

In records that are not included in the film, but were made available to the tutor, Wallace gives details on his cell: "Every time I get out of bed I could reach hips on the table is that with regard to travel around -. no movement in the arthritis that has occurred due to being in the cell "..

Wallace was imprisoned for the first time in 1967 after committing a bank robbery. The sixties were an exciting time in the interior of Angola, the reputation of being the worst prison in America, including 5,000 prisoners still racial segregation and where violence and sexual slavery are common.

Wallace, Woodfox and a third man in black, Robert King, joined to form a chapter of the Black Panther movement in the prison, hoping to organize African Americans held against the brutal treatment they have suffered. Then, 17 April 1972, a prison guard, Brent Miller called was killed during an arrest in a wing.

The Angola 3 were immediately accused of murder, and since day one. They have since insisted on his innocence, pointing out the absence of any physical evidence linking Miller's death and suggested that the main witness against them was bribed by prison officials.

murder charge that was invented to punish them for their political activities.

"I was in a cell six by nine to 29 years and know what you have done for me -. I Shunk the brain, was reduced to the person to adjust to small distances. "

Amnesty hopes to pressure the governor of Louisiana, Bobby Jindal, to free the two remaining men of isolation by providing a petition with more than 65,000 companies in the State Capitol Louisiana in Baton Rouge on Tuesday. The human rights organization denounced his imprisonment in solitary confinement as a form of cruel and inhuman treatment is prohibited by both the U.S. Constitution and international law.

In his taped conversations with Bhalla, Wallace gives an idea of ??his mental state after so much time alone. He says his memory is deteriorating. "Many times I lose. I find it hard to make things easier, C. A, B, .."
