Sodiq Adeojo convicted of murdering 17 year old Sylvester Akapalara in Peckham, south-east London
A gang member was sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum of 30 years for the shooting death of a promising athlete.
Akapalara Sylvester, 17, was found dead on the stairs of an apartment building in Peckham, south-east London, in December 2010.

Sodiq Adeojo, 20, from Peckham, was sentenced in December last year murder, two counts of attempted murder and weapons at their disposal.

Adeojo was also given some competitors 22 years in prison for attempted murder and 14 years for the gun.
