Libya: policing the middle of nowhere | Alex Warren

The ease with which the convoys left Gaddafi's Libya highlights the difficulty of controlling the country's south to the distance

Each year, only a handful of hardcore tourists or business people who may intrepid Ghat, a town that seems to be on the edge of the known world. From here you can see the Jebel Acacus mountain range that crosses the south-western Libya.
